Airports - expecially large international ones - have unique requirements when it comes to parking.
From medium to long-term parking, to short stay drop off and pick up and everything in between, airports have a lot on their hands when it comes to managing traffic flow and congestion in what is usually a sprawling parking footprint.
As well, with millions of people passing through the site each year, real safety issues can arise if parking and vehicle access is not managed properly.
Smart Parking has extensive experience in helping airports manage their site, and have a full suite of parking hardware, machines and software to cater for any requirement as well as a puropse-built software platform that integrates with current site management platforms.
A complete end-to-end car park system
Our range of vehicle detection sensors are designed to suit any environment. This includes options for robust outdoor sensors, and dual-action OHI sensors ideal for multi-level parking. These act as bay availability beacons by the use of coloured LED lights, meaning motorists can see bay availability before they even turn down the lane.
As well, we can provide LED signage that displays live bay availability in rows and levels, and can direct motorists away for congested areas to allow them to find a car park without having to drive up and down each row.
Parking events captured by the sensors are fed into our SmartCloud platform via our SmartSpot gateways. SmartCloud processes millions of parking interactions per day, and the dashboard allows operators to view real time site activity as well as generate reports and identify trends. It can integrate to the systems you’re currently using, and also other services such as public WiFi, lighting management and sign displays to dovetail into the one dashboard.
To assist daily operations and future decision making we required a system that provided visibility and data on car park utilisation. Smart Parking delivered that and more. Our operations staff use the SmartPark system daily to optimise car park utilisation and the technology of the open API and multi sensor enabled SmartSpots were a key differentiator when it came to choosing a provider. Smart Parking’s responsiveness before, during and after the installation was excellent, and I would happily recommend their system and service.

Our app, SmartParking, shows motorists clear, real-time guidance and payment and our embeddable map allows visitors to pre-plan their journey.
